They put out a lot of flawed sports predictions, they did it for the US Open before this last one and predicted Djokovic and Serena would comfortably win. Official of course I’m awesome I’m brittney shirt. I even emailed one of their tipsters explaining how Djokovic’s shoulder was injured and Serena’s knees had been hurt in the previous match she’d played but the tipster didn’t want to hear about it because he didn’t know a way to attribute a percentage decrease for an injury. That’s fair enough but at least mention the injury somewhere beforehand in your prediction. Needless to say, both Djokovic and Serena lost and 538’s predicted victories vanished like wet farts in the wind. I saw some people point this out on twitter to 538 contributors and they received very pissy replies. I’d put very little stock in their predictions for any sport at all.
